About Activity Tasters for the children

On some fun nights we hold 'activity tasters' where we invite various individuals
and organisations to provide activities.

In the past we have been fortunate to have:

Oldham Play Action Group with lots of craft and baking activities

Performance Plaza with drama workshop and electric guitar fun

Oldham Music Centre with percussion fun

The Sports Development Team with excercises especially helpful to children with Dyspraxia

Martin Roberts with Fencing tuition

All have been very popular. And if some children don't wish to join in with the structured
activity that's fine as all the toys and craft equipment are still set out for use and as the evening
progresses and the reluctant children watch the structured activity sometimes it gives them
confidence to join in and have a go, which they are always supported to do,
sometimes even right at the end when the other children are off doing something else.

The idea is to build confidence and for our children to have positive experiences.
